Recently, the acceptance meeting of the Hefei Masters Forum, a foreign cooperation project undertaken by the University of Science and Technology of China, was held at the Hefei Entrepreneurship Service Center. At the acceptance meeting, the expert group listened to the work report made by Zhou Zhengkai, the project leader and vice dean of the Institute of International Finance of the University of Science and Technology of China, reviewed relevant acceptance materials, and conducted inquiries and discussions on related issues, and finally formed a unified opinion , Believes that the Hefei Master Forum has become a high-end intellectual introduction brand with social influence, and has played a certain role in promoting the application of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and the international reputation of Hefei Dahu City. So far, the assessment indicators specified in the project task contract have been successfully completed.
In the afternoon of the same day, the expert team visited the International Report Hall of the Teacher-Student Activity Center in the East District of our school to conduct on-site inspections and fully investigated the Hefei Masters Forum report meeting and related activities. The expert team fully affirmed the work and achievements of the project in terms of international cooperation and exchanges, and the project passed the inspection and acceptance smoothly.
Hefei Masters Forum is a high-end talent introduction brand project of our school. International high-end experts, mainly Nobel Prize winners, are invited to visit Hefei and HKUST to carry out strategic forums, academic seminars, cultural exchanges and other activities. March 2016 to 2020 In July 2007, a total of 71 world-class academic masters were invited to be the speakers of the forum, and a total of 65 school-level academic reports were held. This project allowed young students to have more opportunities to learn about cutting-edge international scientific knowledge and information, and to listen to the master’s Life experience and struggle to inspire a down-to-earth dedication to science, broaden the international horizons of our school’s young teachers and students, and help stimulate the spark of academic inspiration. At the same time, the project enhances our school and Hefei’s regional internationalization level and broadens our The school’s international cooperation and exchange channels have laid a solid foundation for the establishment of long-term cooperative relations between our school and overseas universities, which are conducive to the further strengthening of international scientific and technological cooperation bonds and promote the sustainable and healthy development of international cooperation and exchange.
It is worth mentioning that although this year’s international exchanges have been affected by the new crown epidemic, the Institute of International Finance of the University of Science and Technology of China is actively preparing for and overcoming difficulties, and still invites Nobel Prize winner Professor Robert F. Engle through online methods. In the form of the Master Cloud Forum, an online academic report entitled Measuring the Financial Impact of COVID-19 (Evaluation of the Financial Impact of the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic) was made for the teachers and students of the school. The report was simultaneously broadcast live on an online platform, attracting nearly a thousand teachers, students and scholars to participate online.
